When purchasing the Starlink Mini it comes standard with an AC power cable from Starlink and no 12V cable but the Starlink Mini does support powering directly on DC supply and we can supply a cigarette lighter socket adapter with a 2-meter cable, capable of delivering up to 100W over your 12V power our of your directly directly. This setup is ideal for use with USB-C PD compatible power banks or connecting to a car or caravan's 12V power supply. We are currently supplying these to USA customers who are using the Starlink Mini currently here.
Additionally, we have designed a robust enclosure for the Starlink Mini (similar to what we have with the v3 but smaller) that are ideal for mounting on vehicle roof racks with T-bolts or any system compatible with T-bolt passthroughs. This HDPE-protected case sized 349x310x45mm** safeguard your Starlink Mini against impacts, weather, and abrasive elements, ensuring durability and reliable performance. The complete setup, including our aluminum brackets, weighs approximately 3 kg in total for the Starlink Mini. If purchased with a 12V cable, the cable is supplied through the protective case.
Our kits are designed for easy, plug-and-play installation. Melbourne-based customers can also take advantage of our convenient drive-in and drive-out installation service, which will be detailed in our product availability notification.
Updated 12/10/24 - Our roof rack kits are highly adaptable and can be mounted on a variety of objects. Each kit includes black etch primer 300x32x3mm angles that can be customized to your specific needs. You can drill up to 20mm deep into any side edge of our Starlink case for secure mounting. For a standard roof rack mount using t-bolts, simply use our pre-drilled, countersunk angles for a professional finish. Align the mounting holes, then drill as needed to match your setup. Many of our installations are designed to be mounted parallel to Maxtrax boards, and our angles are extended to a 930mm aluminum length on each side to accommodate this. The lengths can be cut and modified to fit your requirements.
The estimated lead time is currently around 10 business days. Choosing express processing will place your order ahead of others for kit building and also expedite shipping times making lead time for express orders 1-4 business days, given the current demand. If you are planning to have a mount ready before Christmas, such as for travel, it’s recommended to place your order as early as possible to avoid potential disappointment from stock depletion or order backlogs.
This product does not include a Starlink Mini. It includes only aftermarket items, such as the 12V cable and/or a protective case, which is designed for roof mounting with the provided brackets. The case features a custom-cut interior for securely installing the Starlink Mini, making it suitable for use both in-motion (with the appropriate Starlink plan) and stationary, eliminating the need to pack or store the device while traveling.
